SEPTEMBER 2019 VISA BULLETIN: ANALYSIS

The Department of State has just issued the September 2019 Visa Bulletin. This is the final Visa Bulletin of Fiscal Year 2019. This blog post analyzes this month's Visa Bulletin.

MU Law Analysis (all references are to Table A unless noted)

As always happens in August and September, the dates have retrogressed, often making the numbers effectively unavailable.  This is common.  The USCIS and DOS are making sure to use all available visa numbers, without exceeding the legal quotas.

Numbers will once again be available for applicants beginning October 1, 2019 under the FY-2020 annual numerical limitations.  For October, the first month of fiscal year 2020, the DOS expects to return to return the final action dates to those which applied for July.  Click this link to see the July dates.

    will NVC send interview dates on september for october embassy interview? or they will send interview date exactly on october?

      yes they will interview but the date of approval is not guaranteed.

      I believe they will send interview dates in September for October interview dates.. to in line with upcoming October VB.

    I received my approve notice on june 24, 2019 but I havent receive my fee bill. upon calling NVC, my case hasn't arrived yet. How long does it take a case to be recieved by the NVC from USCIS?

    Hi Attorney! I received my NVC welcome letter last June 4, 2019 but until now I haven't received my nvc visa fee bill and when accessing the ceac website, it says there that my case is not yet eligible for further processing. Is it still normal having to wait for more than 2 months since I received my welcome letter? By the way, my PD is April 2019. Thank you!

    Good day!

    I would like to ask, my PD is Dec. 3, 2018, I am already documentarily qualified. Do you think it's possible for me to be current and have and Interview date this October VB? would it also be possible to fly to the US this year? Thank you so much.

      Yes it's possible to fly to US this year given that you'll be current in October VB.

    Hello, is it possible for me to be lined up for interview this coming october 2019? Will I receive an interview instructions/date this September 2019 from NVC given that I was DQ’ed on June 11,2019 and my PD is November 2017?.. thank you!

    Hope you could help me Sir, I am torn right now for my resignation in my current hospital, I have to file for my resignation this coming September 2019 for my employment contract not to renewed, otherwise I will have another 1 year contract if I did not file for it. My contract will be till December 2019 if not renewed this september. I was hesitant to file for it since I don’t have my interview date yet (already DQ’ed last June 2019, with priority date Nov2017). I have all the original documents needed for the interview, its all updated. What advise can you give to me sir? Thank you!

      Me, i already resigned. My PD is July 18, 2018. I took a risk. Will go back to phils ang leran how to drive. By the time the retro will be lifted, it all worth it. If still retro, i can still find work.

      You are already dq’ed? As far as I understood it, its possible to receive an ID by september 2019.

    When do NVC usually send interview notice? My documents was DQ'ed last june 4, 2019 but retrogression happened. Is it possible to get an interview notice by september, if current? Thank you

      It is not uncommon for it to take 4-5 months.

    When vb becomes current on the opening of FY, in what order will they give ID to applicats? Will it be based on PD or DQ date?

    Hi ,
    I noticed in the September 2019 visa bulletin, they will try to get the date at least originally allotted for August 2019, but August 2019 bulletin it was mentioned they will try to get back the dates of July 2019 final action date. Which one we can expect in October 2019.

    Hello. I got DQ'd by NVC last january 15, 2020. My priority date is March 2007. How long do i have to wait for a visa interview date? Thank you!
